Ontario & Toronto
We are a diverse community of teachers with a goal of establishing positive self-esteem and passion for the art of dance. Committed to dance education, the BATD Toronto Region provides a wide range of opportunities for Teachers:
District meetings provide members with choreography classes, syllabus refresher courses and a question and answer forum. An Annual Workshop in October offers both BATD Teachers and students the opportunity to learn from top choreographers.
The Toronto Region hosts the annual Trixie Hardy North American Stage and Ballet Scholarships.
Students are nominated to this event from grade examination results. Classes are held in Jazz/Modern, Tap/Stage and Ballet methods. Workshop classes are also held during this weekend for Teachers and Students alike. Congress weekends are held in conjunction with this event every 2nd year. Professional Examinations are also available this weekend.
The B.A.T.D. North American Highland weekend is an Annual event that alternates between the USA and Canada. This Congress provides something for all Highland enthusiasts. Scholarship classes, business meetings, workshops and performances.
Students are nominated to the Scholarship event from grade examination results. Professional Examinations are also held this weekend.
